Not to worry,

There are many courses you can pursue. According to Dr. Kaila, renowned psychologist and Head of department of Psychology, SNDT College, “Diploma courses provide job oriented training. Besides they are usually short term, which means that you start earning and gain valuable experience comparatively early.”
Here then are some courses that you can pursue directly after your SSC.

1] Automobile Engineering: You will design, develop, manufacture and maintain automobiles ranging from tractors and two wheelers to jeeps, trucks and even sports cars. The entry of new companies into the car industry as a result of liberalization has led to a very prospective situation. Jobs lie with automobile manufacturing companies, automobile component manufacturing companies, and automobile distributors.

2] Construction Technology: You will build the nation. You will specialise in building dams, ports, bridges, flyovers, and any other infrastructure that requires steel and concrete. The infrastructure sector in India will witness a rapid growth over the next few years with a fresh bout of investment both foreign and domestic. 9]Medical Laboratory Technology: The job involves performing medical tests such as blood test, urine test, etc. and radiological methods like X-ray and Ultrasonography. Employment opportunities in diagnostic centres, hospitals, healthcare centres, polyclinics, etc are all set to grow on a mammoth scale within the next 5 years.
Alternatively, you can pursue Opthalmic Technology. You will diagnose disorders of visual system and prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, etc. This too offers numerous job opportunities in multi-speciality hospitals, eye hospitals, eye care centres, eye clinics, and opticians. 10] Leather and footwear technology: As a Leather and footwear technologist, you will process different kinds of leather customized to the specification of a particular product. 11] Government Jobs: There are numerous jobs as a clerk or stenographer with various offices of the Government of Maharashtra.
After your SSC you need to clear the MPSC (Maharashtra State Public Service Commission) examinations.
Stenographers need a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Marathi). Shorthand speed of 120 w.p.m. is necessary.
If you seek a life with a bit of adventure in it, then you can always join the police forces as a Police Constable. Of course you need to clear written test, a physical test, and an interview as well.
However, according to Dr. Kaila, merely joining a reputed institute is not enough. “You will have to put in a lot of hard work and dedication if you wish to make a success out of your life,” he explains.
So think long and hard. Evaluate all the pros and cons and make a well-informed decision. As Komal Singh, an SSC student puts it, “SSC is a crossroad, which points to many different directions.” Choose your road wisely.
